This is a very exciting time as we begin to work with each other in this online environment. As we get started, we can all think of things that we can share or things that we need someone to share. Keep in mind the purpose of this blog is to help all Ready, Set Teach teachers. If you are looking for something, be sure to post your need.

I am so excited about this feature because we can all exchange handouts that we have created to use in Ready, Set, Teach! with our students.

I subscribe to the lesson plan email list from the NYTimes newspaper. I have accumulated some terrific lesson plans from them for multiple topics in FCS. Cut and paste the above URL and see what you think. Use the vocabulary “turn on” selection for the articles. Cut and paste questions from their lesson plan and customize an assignment or worksheet. I keep several handy for subs or make-up assignments.

WooHoo! I get to be the first person to post. This is way cool. I think this is going to be a great tool for teachers from different cities and schools to share ideas and support one another. Ready, Set, Teach! teachers rock. (Whose idea was it to put an exclamation mark in the name of this course? Oh, was it my boss? Well, wasn’t that a great idea!)
