I will be setting up RST II for next year and I was wanting to hear how other set up their programs? Do you have them do different levels of education? Any suggestions would be great! We have our RST I students working with Pre-K to 5th and they are out 3 days a week for about 22 of the 28 weeks. Thanks!
When checking on students at field site. How often do you check on them? How do you check on them? Do you walk in look around and ask few questions and leave or do you sit and watch for a little while. I feel like every time I walk in I am imposing on the teachers and disrupting their class.
In order to get to the list of questions posted by Kim Kamin go to the Shared Resources link on the right hand side of the blog, use the universal password that was sent when your user status was changed to Author. If you do not have the password, contact Heather Blount or post a comment and it will be sent to you.
Dont’ forget to visit the Ready, Set, Teach! web page located at www.ccfcs.org under Course Resources. Hopefully you will find the resources to be valuable and useful in teaching Ready, Set, Teach! I & II.
I sent a group e-mail (see below) to my the entire staff on my campus ‘bragging’ about the FCS Curriculum Center Site. Following the end of my email is one of the [slightly edited: I took out names] responses I received. I think this might help to get others on our campuses to more fully appreciate our discipline. Anything this good should be shared.
My congratulations to person or persons who created all of these great rubrics!!!
Here is the e-mail I sent: Subject line was Rubrics!!!
Go to http://www.depts.ttu.edu/hs/ccfcs/ and then click on “On Line Resources”, (found on the left of the screen) when you get the next screen select Rubrics (near center screen) …. On the right of the third screen are all of the choices listed below!!!! [Worth book-marking] A few of the rubrics are rather specific to Family and Consumer Sciences, but many – I would think – could be used with any subject!
