PowerPoint Verification Form

Powerpoint Verification Form is a form that teachers can use to verify that students have created an assigned PowerPoint.  We all know hard it is to be everywhere at the same time.  This verification allows the student to show their powerpoint without your presence.

Families in your area

Families in your school district is a handout that will help lead a discussion about different ethnic family groups in your school district.  Students can share information about their ethnic background and then the class can fill in the rest.  No real reference for this information(unless someone has one).  Adapt the group to work for your area.  This is also a good chance to discuss generalizations and how all members of a group may not match that generalization.

This is my 6th year to teach RST I, and 3rd year to teach RST II, and I love it more and more each year. I am still learning and changing it, but you are welcome to look at my web-site and copy anything that you want. Also, feel free to email me any questions that you have from my web-site. http://www.teacherweb.com/tx/lamar/vadner

Several questions

I need to know if your Ready, Set, Teach students are required to take the class for 2 semesters or  2 or 3 trimesters or can they take it for just 1 semester or 1 trimester?  In looking more closely at the program, it looks like they really should take it for a full year to get credit, which would be 2 semesters or 2 or 3 trimesters.

Next question is about textbooks.  Has anyone out there found a GOOD textbook to use?  We use Reaching to Teach and it is good but way above their heads sometimes.

Last question is about certifications.  Is there anyone who knows about or has their students get certifications?  If so, what and how do I find information about the requirements, tests, cost, etc.?
