Just Passing Through

Just Passing Through  This handout is a simple view of some of the thing a PDAS visit would look for.  It is simple enough for our students to get the point without being overloaded with too many details.  The handout gets at what good teaching should look like.  I am not sure who I got this from but I know it was ok to share it.

Community Resources Handout Revised

Uncategorized No Comments

Community Resources  Here is a “revised” copy of a handout from the curriculum guide.  I made additions and corrections that meet my community needs.  It is a good filler and reminds future teachers that they may need to know about these resources to help their students.  It is specific to my area so it will need to be adapted to your situation.

Question About Field-Site Teachers

Classroom Organization 4 Comments

I have been checking in with my field-site teachers mid-semester to see how things are going. (This is our pilot year for RST at our school.) Several teachers have expressed the desire to be able to meet with their students interns at another time. They feel that when the students walk in they are in the middle of class, and do not have the time to talk with the student. How are you handling this at your school? Do you require the students to meet with the teachers outside of their class time?
